University Degree

You do not need a Bachelor’s degree to take the TEFL (TESOL) training course but please note that in order to teach in Japan, Korea and Taiwan you will need a degree. In addition there may be some employers in other countries that may require a degree. It varies from country to country and employer to employer.

Non-native English speakers

If you are a non-native English speaker you may still apply to the course. We provide job guidance for non-native speakers. Several non-native speakers have taken our course and have gone on to teach abroad, mostly in Prague, China or their home country. Graduates from the EU have gone on to teach in other EU countries. It can be a bit more challenging to find a job as many employers prefer to hire native English speakers. It depends on your level of English, clarity of your accent and how you do on the course. We'll do the best to assist you in finding a job and look forward to welcoming you.
