As an extra service TEFL Worldwide is able to arrange housing for our students during the course. The benefit of our housing is that the apartments and hotel are located in the same part of Prague as the school.

We work with a landlord who rents apartments and hotel rooms to our students for an extremely reasonable price (about 10 Euros/night for 30 nights). Of course you have the option to arrange your own housing in Prague but unless you know the city expect to pay between 30 and 40 Euros/night for a hotel room or room in an apartment. Hostels cost around 12 to 16 Euros/night.

The student housing is available from the Wednesday before the course until the Tuesday after the course, sometimes later depending on availability.

1. A private room in a shared apartment. A private bedroom in an apartment. You will have your own private bedroom and a shared kitchen and bathroom. The rooms are conveniently located in the same area of Prague as the school. Most of the private rooms are within a 10 minute walking distance to the school. A few are within about 20 minutes and it's necessary to take the metro just 2 or 3 stops from our school stop. The price is 8000kc (appx. 315 Euros) for 30 nights. That is approximately 10 Euros per night. Click here for the current exchange rate. Each extra night will cost 400kc. For two people sharing a room the price is 6000kc each for 30 nights (approximately 8 Euros per night). In this case each extra night will cost 300kc each.

Rooms in the apartments are limited and are filled on a first come first serve basis. If the rooms are filled we can house you for the same price at a hotel. The hotel does not have a kitchen but you'll have a private room and a private bathroom.

This housing option is available for TEFL Worldwide students only.

2. A private one bedroom apartment with a kitchen and bathroom. The private apartment is ideal for a couple, friends or someone who wants a little more privacy. The cost for this is 10000Kc on a single occupancy basis (appx. 400 Euros) or 12000Kc (appx. 475 Euros) for two people sharing for 30 nights. Extra nights are 450Kc for single occupancy or 600Kc for double occupancy. Click here for the current exchange rate.

**TEFL Worldwide is taking the responsibility for booking your housing. Therefore we are held responsible for the housing fee if you cancel less than 4 weeks before the course start date. When you pay your deposit you are also reserving a place in the student housing. The housing fee needs to be paid in cash to the housing owner when you arrive. This is non-negotiable. You can not cancel your housing reservation whenever you want. You will not be able to cancel your student housing option anytime after 4-weeks before the course start date. So, plan accordingly. If you change your mind about the student housing you need to let us know at least 4 weeks before the course. Otherwise you will be expected to pay your housing fee upon arrival no matter where you decide to stay. You will not be allowed to start the course until your housing fee is paid. **

If you wish to stay in Prague after you have graduated from the course, we will provide housing assistance for you. We can put you in touch with numerous real estate agents and point you in the right direction on where to find available housing from links on the internet and postings at our school and in cafes throughout Prague. We will do this before the end of the course to avoid any last-minute panic.

The living expenses in Prague are about 1/3 of that in the USA, UK, etc. Should you decide to stay here after the course, you can easily find a private room in a furnished and shared apartment for around 6000kc to 8500kc/month (appx. 235 to 340 Euros) with utilities included. The majority of teachers in Prague choose to share an apartment while teaching in order to cut back on their living expenses. Should you choose to rent a private studio or one-bedroom flat you can find something for around 8000kc 13000kc (315 to 515 Euros/month depending on your preferences, location, size, furnishings, etc.
